Rockcod season
is open now through December 31, 2011!
Rockcod fishing on
the Central Coast is very productive. There are many different
species here and most days everyone goes home with a limit
of fish. This year, the Dept. of Fish and Game has lengthened
the season and reduced the legal limit of lingcod to 22
inches. The weather can get rough here in the springtime
though so please call ahead for a weather forecast (805-772-FISH).
Trips are scheduled daily and are limited to 28 passengers.
Passengers must have a valid California sportfishing license
and must have reservations. Customers without reservations
will board on a first come, first serve bases if space is
available and after all reserved customers are boarded.
Trips depart between 6 and 8am. The tackle shop will open
one hour before trip departure. Sportfishing licenses can
be purchased online at
http://www.dfg.ca.gov/licensing/ols/faqs.html. You must
print out the license and bring it with you.
