Humpback whales are here for the summer and fall feeding on krill, anchovies and sardines. Most days they are found just a mile or two from the Morro Bay harbor entrance. All whale watching trips are aboard the 50' Rita G which has plenty of seating, and indoor cabin, galley service and a restroom.

The Rita G and her crew are certified by the United States Coast Guard.

Please call the tackle shop to make your reservations. Some trips may be canceled due to weather or rockcod fishing schedule.

Season Passes

Purchased on or before March 31st $1170.00
Purchased on or after April 1st $1300.00

The season pass covers all open party rockcod trips including long range. It works just like money where as reservations are 1st come 1st serve. This year a season pass will cost $1,300.00. However if it is purchased before March 31st, 2011 there will be a ten percent discount. Season passes are for sale year round. Season passes are non-transferrable and expire on Dec. 31st, 2011. Season passes are also good for whale watching, and it will get you a 20% discount on other trips (albacore, salmon, halibut) including if you charter the boat. Any passes from CCSF only cover the cost of the boarding pass. There is no half season pass, but there is a punch card that may work for you. Punch cards are only on sale until March 31st, 2011, then they are not available until next year. With a punch card, you buy 10 trips of equal or lesser value at half price. The most popular punch card is the long range trip. If you do decide to use your punch card on a lesser trip, the captain will write you a rain check for the difference in cost but you have to ask, they won't know to do it unless you ask. For instance, long range trips are $89.00 this year, so a long range punch card will be $445.00. You can purchase multiple punch cards. Punch cards are transferrable between people and can be used in future years, there is no expiration date.

There is a minimum age of 5 years old
