The Safety Council of the Texas Mid-Coast is one of more than 40 nonprofit workforce training centers worldwide. We are a member of the Association of Reciprocal

Safety Councils (ARSC). All members of our Association provide training that may be reciprocal between different states, nations and worksites.

The Safety Council of the Texas Mid-Coast, Inc. (SCTMC) has been providing safety training to contractors in our local petrochemical industry since 1993. In 2011, SCTMC expanded our safety training to include food production, oil and gas, Department of Transportation and manufacturing industries. We train more than 12,000 individuals and average more than 40,000 courses completed each year.

Some things to know about SCTMC:

• We are a University of Texas at Arlington OSHA training center offering more than 20 courses a year.
• We provide Mining Safety Health Administration (MSHA) instructor led courses for surface metal/non-metal training for persons working in the mining industry.
• We provide SafeLand® certification through instructor led RigPass® classes as a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors.
• We provide FDA ServeSafe® training for persons working in the food production industry.
• We provide a full suite of US DOT training.
• We provide site specific as well as contractor specific training
